once upon a time, there were two sisters…

the oldest, fraîche, was born in 2017. after years of working as a personal chef, our clients inspired us to {read: demanded} start catering. we did, we kept it small, and always true to our 1st principle: fresh, local seasonal food. fraîche was born of a love for quality, healthy, bountiful food and how it could serve our clients. given that many of them were high performance athletes, those tenants meant the difference between peak performance and a sluggish game. we took it seriously.

and then, as we grew, we were called to provide options beyond what we believed our catering company stood for. we felt a new brand would be able to provide the mobility and nimble options that clients were looking for: beverage carts, mobile cafes & curated culinary events on the fringe. and eat, drink & be merry was born!

then, three months later, 2020 happened.

during our {ahem} hiatus, as we perfected our soft pretzels and semi freddo recipes {and gained 400bazillion pounds} we thought a lot about the rigor of running two food forward businesses side by side. we decided to stay true to our 2nd principle: keep it simple stupid, and combine the two. food doesn’t need to be complicated to be unforgettable; neither does business. also, Chef didn’t want to lose her mind, so this made the most sense. bringing the two together, providing our clients with both our unique scope of mobility and our extensive resources nationwide, we now offer our bespoke catering services, as well as our fun mobile units, in three primary US regions: the mid-Atlantic, SoCal to Vegas, and the Pacific Northwest. now, you can eat, drink & be merry with fraîche all over the country!

our 3rd principle

is all about sustainability. whether we are sourcing seafood for your dinner, or creating a new mobile unit, we consider how to have the biggest impact on your event while leaving the smallest footprint on the environment. we take great care to support local fisheries, use only biodegradable and/or compostable products, and geek out over working to marry wind + solar power on our mobile units.
